This section gives advice on where to get help for any emotional or psychological concerns you may have while living with longer-term symptoms of COVID-19.

Here are the concerns we cover in this section:


Feeling anxious or worried

If you’re living with longer-term symptoms of COVID-19, you might find that you feel anxious or worried a lot of the time. This could be a sign of anxiety. For useful advice on what to do if you’re anxious, visit the Anxiety UK website.

Feeling sad or empty for much of the time

If you’re living with longer-term symptoms of COVID-19, you might find that you feel sad or empty a lot of the time. This could be a sign of depression. Follow this link if you’re worried about your mental health.

Becoming more tearful than usual

Having thoughts of harming yourself or that you would be better off dead

This is serious and shouldn’t be ignored – contact your GP surgery or 111 immediately.
